The BC Adolescent Health Survey (BC AHS) is a province-wide survey of youth in Grades 7–12 conducted every 5 years since 1992. The 2023 survey was completed by around 38,500 young people in 59 of BC's 60 school districts.
Since 2019, the Youth Research Academy has led a longitudinal study of the experiences of young people through their transition out of government care or alternative to care in BC. The survey follows youth from age 18 to 27, and asks about their health and well-being, housing, education, employment, and accessing services.
McCreary leads other adolescent health research projects, including special population surveys and smaller quantitative and qualitative studies.
McCreary conducts independent evaluations for youth-serving non-profit organizations and statutory agencies in BC.
