Youth Action Grants

The Youth Action Grants (YAGs) were created by McCreary's Youth Advisory & Action Council (YAC), with the goal of providing BC youth aged 12–19 the opportunity to deliver a project to improve youth health in their school or community.

YAGs fund projects that are:
  • Led by youth aged 12–19 in BC
  • Focused on one or more key findings from the BC AHS
  • Benefiting youth in your school or community
  • Supported by at least one adult (e.g., teacher, counsellor, youth worker)

Application process

Come up with a project idea

The YAGs fund projects that are led by youth, benefit youth in your school or community, and are supported by at least one adult. They also have to focus on one or more key findings from the BC AHS.

Fill out an application

Tell us about your project by filling out an application form, available in both English and French. Sending your completed application form to yag@mcs.bc.ca.

Note: Please submit applications at least 6 weeks before your anticipated project start date.

Application review

The YAG Committee will review your application and let you know if it has been successful within 4 weeks of receiving it. If your application has been approved, your project funding will be paid by cheque and mailed to you.
